Overview
MY 1112 was part of the legendary NOHAB series, delivered to DSB in 1956. These locomotives, based on EMD designs and produced under license in Sweden, became the backbone of Danish diesel traction for decades.

History

• Arrival: Delivered to Helsingør on May 9, 1956.
• Service: Operated in Western Denmark (1956–1973), later reassigned to Eastern Denmark (1973–1982).
• Notable Events: Stranded in snow from December 29, 1978, to January 5, 1979, near Lundby. Received design livery in 1984.
• Later Service: Returned to Western Denmark (1982–1993).
• Retirement: Officially retired in 1993 and transferred to the Danish Railway Museum.
• Preservation: Displayed in Odense (1997–2020), moved to Randers (2020–2024), then to Marslev (2024–2025). Scheduled to return to Odense in 2025.

Legacy
MY 1112 remains one of the best-documented examples of the NOHAB series, remembered both for its long service career and its continued preservation for future generations of railway enthusiasts.
