    Prototype History – From DSB MY 1155 to NEG V170 155

    The locomotive began its life as DSB MY 1155, part of the legendary Danish NOHAB-built MY series from the 1950s and 60s. After loyal service in Denmark, MY 1155 was retired and later sold to the Norddeutsche Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft (NEG) in Germany.

    At NEG, the locomotive was renumbered to V170 155 and continued operations on regional and freight services, especially around the Niebüll and Dagebüll areas close to the Danish border.

    The combination of Danish heritage and German operation makes V170 155 a uniquely interesting locomotive for collectors — a true cross-border classic with a long and varied career.
