  • Primary mission: Support for 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines
  • Extensively deployed in Iraq (Op. TELIC) and Afghanistan (Op. HERRICK)
  • Sea Kings from 846 NAS served heavily in Helmand Province from 2008
